48-Hour Game Jam Project
Created during a 48-hour game jam, How I Met Your Mother was built around the theme “That’s Not How It Happened.” The game presents a lighthearted short story where a family group chat turns into a chain of exaggerated versions of how the parents first met, until the grandfather steps in to reveal what really happened.
The experience unfolds through automatic group chat narration, with each family member offering their own dramatic version of events. As each story is told, the game shifts into imagined visual scenes where simple conversations become playful action sequences, with both parents presenting themselves as the hero in their own exaggerated retelling.
